Is this able to be linked with a smart tv so that I can use it as an extra speaker for when I'm watching tv.?
above answer is wrong. I know that my samsung smart tv will let you use a bluetooth speaker.

The cast firmware is still at 1.36 whereas the other Cast devices like Nest devices are at 1.46. When will this device be updated to the latest cast firmware?
If its ROKU NO SO IM NOT ABLE TO SPEAK OF SMART TVS COME WITHOUT ROKU. I own a 4k room smart TV and YOU ARE FORCED TO BUY ROKU PRODUCTS YOU CAN NOT SET UP ANYTHING THAT ISNT ROKU. I OWN THIS and the Roku tv not compatible. I love this speaker in wish I could carry it around since its not really made to be portable. Like the cylinder shaped JBL devices. There is also a Walmart brand ONN soundboard that comes with ROKU SO IT CAN BE USED WITH THE ROKU TO help with any confusion. You set up a TV using the Roku that comes installed on Walmart ONN soundboard.

what is the service slot on the bottom of the unit?
Every time I ask it to set alarm. It would say okay but in the end it would say there's a glitch and to try again in a few seconds

The WiFi status light is very bright overnight in the bedroom. Is there a way to dim the Wifi status light, or turn it off?

Unfortunately there is no way to dim the wifi light, or turn it completely off for the JBL Link series.

JBL Link 300 can it be connected directly with tv or laptop with a wire please? thanks.
The Link 300 doesn't have any wired connection aside from the power cord.

I tried connecting to use as outside speaker, using Google Home. Before Google Home just used Google it was way easier. Now I ca not get it to p,ay thru the speaker, just my phone. Isiah they had left well enough alone

It is required for your JBL Link 300 to be set up via the Google Home App with your source device before you could use other features such as Voice Assistant and Bluetooth. Please note that for the setup, this speaker is required to be connected to a stable WIFI signal. Hi, are there any updates to the firmware that make it compatible with Airplay 2? or 1? What's its latest firmware update and is there an online link showing what the updates are about? Thanks.
Hi, I tried the provided link and all I got was this error: 404 - Page not found at the JBL support site; the questions are simply and shouldn't need further information: does it support Airplay via firmware update, what's the latest firmware update and what does it contain; I'm guessing JBL might publish them as this is common practice. Thanks.
