Money well spent!
I've been using my flip for about a week now and must say that I'm very impressed with it. I have purchased other, similar speakers in this price range they just don't compare. Connecting to the flip proved to be simple and, as soon as I played some music through it, I was rewarded with clear, rich sound and powerful bass. I left it playing all day at work at full volume and left it playing in the other room when I got home. Safe to say that the battery life is impressive. This speaker is perfect for in your house, bbqs and work and would recommend to everyone.

JBL Got This One Right
This little speaker packs a punch! I've got an older Flip 5 sitting on my desk and the Flip 6 blows it out of the water. The bass is noticeably punchier and it's loud! I've got a pretty large garage and it fills the area up with sound like no other. The party boost feature is great when hosting kickbacks and the battery life is very impressive. I've owned Bose, Harmon Kardon, Marshall, and UE brands and I can confidently say that JBL has the best products for your money. I'm a filthy consumerist who likes the latest toys and believe me, JBL got this one right.

Best Flip yet by far!
Received new Flip 6 in good time. I must say it’s the best flip yet and by some distance too! It has full bass at all volumes and nice clarity to. Also a bonus is that jbl have added eq to the jbl portable app so you can now Taylor the sound to you liking. I really think this is the best speaker for its size you can buy! Thanks again jbl!!!

Great sound, small size.
I took delivery of two Flip 6s a few days ago and am quite impressed with their performance, especially for their size. Whether paired for stereo music or using just one for podcasts or talk radio, they have a robust, balanced sound. They are also small enough that I plan to bring them along when travelling.
I've owned JBL speakers since 1986. The Flip 6 advances the tradition of quality and performance that I've enjoyed all these years.

Bizarre sound signature. Bring back the Flip 3!
Very disappointed to say the least. Having enjoyed the sound of the JBL Flip 3 for the past 6 years, I had to replace it as the battery life disappeared. I thought the JBL Flip 6 would have a similar sound signature (but perhaps even better) but in fact the sound is completely different. It is subjective of course but for my ears this was a horrible sound: very bloated boomy bass, painful harsh unnatural/bizarre sounding treble, and many layers of sound completely missed out.
I have just returned this and ordered instead the JBL Flip Essential 2 which I hope will have the same excellent natural balanced rich sound of the JBL Flip 3.

How do I easily reconnect after walking away with the music source? I have two, in stereo partyboost, power connected. On return they are asleep, press button to wake, again to power down, again power up, then partyboost. x2 speakers - 8 presses!
I have initiated contact with support.
However, to update my original question - I have discovered that I only need to do the 4 presses on one speaker, not both. The second speaker will connect with the first for stereo automatically without rebooting it.

Can the Flip 6 remain plugged in all the time or will that damage the battery over time?
There is no harm in leaving your JBL Flip 6 connected to electricity at all times. You can simply pick it up, unplug it from the charger and be on your way, knowing that you have a full charge. The battery will not overcharge. However, if you’d like to conserve electrical energy, disconnect from charging.

Yes, you can still charge our JBL Flip 6, which was bought in the UK. Please ensure that you are charging with the correct adapter.

Dose it have LFM?
LFM or "Service Mode" bypasses all sound processing in the speaker which makes it sound as good as it can. This should be used only by service centers when testing the system. Yes, it may sound more bassy and louder, but the overall sonic quality is not very good, and it can end up damaging the speaker. It should NOT be used by customers listening to music.

Can the flip 6 and the flip 4 be connected using JBL Connect?
Our JBL Flip 6 can only be connected to speakers that have the Partyboost feature while JBL Flip 4 uses JBL Connect+ technology to link with other Connect+ enabled speakers therefore they can't be connected together.

Is there a way to turn off the ridiculously bright lights?
The LED indicator light on our JBL Flip 6 is a design feature of the speaker. This feature cannot be disabled.
